Certified End-of-Life Doula · Sequim, WA

Presence and care in life's final chapter.

I'm Shannon Summers — a certified end-of-life doula bridging the gap between hospital and hospice, walking alongside families on the Olympic Peninsula.

A gentle hand to hold

Honoring life, comforting death.

For two decades I've sat at the bedside — as a caregiver, an EMT, a friend, a daughter. I've learned that what families need most in those tender hours is steadiness, time, and someone who is unafraid of the room. That is the work of a doula.

How I help

Quiet, practical companionship.

Compassionate Vigil

Holding space at the bedside so loved ones can rest, eat, and simply be present.

Planning & Guidance

Advance directives, legacy projects, and helping make wishes clearly known.

Family Support

Education, gentle conversations, and bridging hospital and hospice systems.

Two hands gently holding each other

About Shannon

Twenty years at the bedside.

I bring two decades of caregiving and four years as an EMT to this work. I've been present as many clients, family, and friends crossed the threshold — and I know how ordinary, holy, and often hurried that moment can feel. As a certified end-of-life doula, I create the space to slow down.
